SAMARITAINE PARIS MAGIC CITY
Concept
& context
The second chapter in Magic Garden's collaboration with the Samaritaine Paris Pont-Neuf.
In 1900, Ernest Cognacq, founder of the Samaritaine, created "Magic City", the very first amusement park to be set up on the quays. Inspired by this historic legacy, Magic Garden has come up with a unique immersive experience.
3D artist Clément Morin has deployed a giant, animated and evolving digital installation on three giant screens illuminating the façade of the Pont Neuf. The work comes to life in augmented reality, in partnership with Snapchat.
The interior comes alive with the joyous spirit of a funfair. The magic is revealed through a pincer machine, arcade games, a ball pool, a giant duck and a distorting mirror, entertaining young and old alike, as well as many other surprises.
